OTET Exam Details (Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test)

The OTET is a state-level examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in Class I to VIII in schools across Odisha.

• Exam Structure:

  • Paper-I: For candidates intending to teach Classes I to V (Primary).
  • Paper-II: For candidates intending to teach Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary).

• Exam Pattern:

  • Total Marks: 150 Marks.
  • Total Questions: 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • Medium: Questions are bilingual (Odia and English), except for language papers.

• Qualifying Marks:

ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ପ୍ରଥମରୁ ଅଷ୍ଟମ ଶ୍ରେଣୀ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ପାଇଁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧାରଣ କରିବାକୁ ମାଧ୍ୟମିକ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପରିଷଦ (BSE), ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଦ୍ୱାରା OTET ପରୀକ୍ଷା ପରିଚାଳନା କରାଯାଏ ।

• ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଢାଞ୍ଚା (Exam Structure):
  • ପେପର-୧ (Paper-I): ପ୍ରଥମରୁ ପଞ୍ଚମ ଶ୍ରେଣୀ (ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ସ୍ତର) ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶିକ୍ଷାଦାନ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଥିବା ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ।
  • ପେପର-୨ (Paper-II): ଷଷ୍ଠରୁ ଅଷ୍ଟମ ଶ୍ରେଣୀ (ଉଚ୍ଚ ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ସ୍ତର) ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶିକ୍ଷାଦାନ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଥିବା ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ।

  • ମୋଟ ମାର୍କ: ୧୫୦ ମାର୍କ ।
  • ମୋଟ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ: ୧୫୦ଟି ବହୁବିକଳ୍ପ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ (MCQs) ।
  • ସମୟସୀମା: ୨ ଘଣ୍ଟା ୩୦ ମିନିଟ୍ ।
