Rayagada Kings Eleven and Jafna Stallions top the point table
Stars, Kings, Stallions, Challengers and Revolutionaries all fought to prove their might in Amogha Mega Sky Box Stadium at Chatia on 8th and 9th December. A total of 12 league matches in Group – B and Group – C were played in the TBW Students Cricket League in two consecutive days.
The first match of Group – B was between Champion Challengers, Nayagarh and MSSVM, Aravind Nagar. It was an easy win for the Champion Challengers who defeated their opponent by 8 wickets. In the second league match, Rayagada Kings Eleven beat Jagannath Kaushalya team by a huge margin of 84 runs. The Kings continued the thrilling performance in their second and the day’s third match, and beat their opponent MSSVM by even greater margin of 144 runs. In the fourth match, team Jagannath Kaushalya got into action mode as if to avenge the defeat in their first match. They defeated the winners of the first league match, Champion Challengers, by 10 wickets. The stars shone in the next match as the G Revolution All Stars beat Haragouri, HSS, Kusurla by 103 runs. The Haragouri HSS team made a come back in the sixth match. They won from SSVM, Sarang, Dhenkanal team by 66 runs. The seventh match didn’t give SSVM, Sarang any relief either. They lost to Birsamunda Simanta HSS, Gairbahal by 61 runs. But the celebrations didn’t last long for Birsamunda Simanta HSS. In the eighth and final match of Group – B, G Revolution All Stars team defeated them by 75 runs.
The day after the Group – B matches, 4 teams of Group – C got into the circle. In the first match Jafna Stallions, Cuttack took on the Leads Super Star, Berhampur. Jafna Stallions won the match by 10 wickets. The second match was no different for the Leads Super Stars either. They lost to Shine Eleven, Kanpur, Narsinghpur again by 10 wickets. Jafna Stallions bagged more points after defeating Rhinos Striker, Cuttack by 73 runs in the third match of the day. and, Shine Eleven shone again in the fourth match as they defeated Rhinos Striker by 8 wickets.
After these league matches, Rayagada Kings Eleven is leading the Group – B point table with 10 points and G Revolution All Stars are tailing the Kings with the same points. Similarly in Group – C, Jafna Stallions is on top with 10 points and Shine Eleven is on second place with 9 points.
