League Matches
👉🏻 As mentioned earlier, teams will be divided into Groups.
👉🏻 There will be 8 Teams in a Group and 4 Teams in a Sub-group.
👉🏻 Each team is scheduled to play TWO League matches (of 10 overs per inning), facing off against the other TWO teams. The fixtures are decided by the Organisers.
👉🏻 The Top-2 ranked out of Four Teams (of a Sub-group) will play an Extra League Match between themselves on the Same Day.
👉🏻 Points are at stake in every match, with four points awarded for a win.
👉🏻 An additional bonus point is up for grabs based on the Winning Margin of 30% or Chasing down in Eight Overs, incentivizing teams to not just win, but to dominate.
👉🏻 Each innings of the Matches will consist of 10 overs with a maximum duration of 35 minutes.
👉🏻 Top 2 teams of a Group will qualify to Super-16 Knock Outs. Other 4 out of 48 teams will qualify to Super-16 on the basis of Points and Net Run Rate calculated by the CricHeroes App.
👉🏻 Bye Runs, Overthrow runs are valid runs.
👉🏻 Penalties for slow over rates or late reporting include deductions of overs or runs will be imposed to maintain the pace of the game. Batting Side can also be penalised with 10 runs for time-wasting to ensure matches proceed on schedule.
👉🏻 Leg Before Wicket (LBW) and Leg Bye runs are not permitted, hence the batters should not attempt for the same. Umpires’ decisions are final in this regard.
👉🏻 The Organising Committee reserves the right to reduce the number of overs due to external factors like weather or power outages.
👉🏻 In case of a tie in a league match, the points will be shared equally among the two teams.
👉🏻If rain interrupts a match,
- If the second innings of a match has at least 3 overs bowled, the DL Method will be applied to decide the outcome.
- If the DL Method cannot be applied (sole decision of the organisers), the points will be shared equally among the two teams (only in the league matches).
👉🏻 The Power-play overs (First THREE Overs), a crucial phase in the game, set the stage for strategic gameplay. With only SIX players allowed inside the box during Power-surge overs, including the wicket keeper and bowlers, teams must carefully select their strongest players to maximise their advantage during these Overs. No fielder replacements are allowed during the Power-play overs.
👉🏻 One Impact Player: These game-changers can be brought in at any moment, replacing any player on the field. The replaced player, once taken out of the game, cannot re-enter.
👉🏻 In the thrilling world of Tennis cricket @Amogha rules add an exciting twist with the inclusion of ‘AMOGHA CARDS’ for both batting and fielding sides.
- One Batter can continue to play after getting out (only once) in the last two overs.
- Any One Bowler can bowl One Additional Over beyond the overs-limit.
👉🏻 The requirement for each team to use at least five bowlers ensures that the game is not dominated by a single player. There is a cap of maximum TWO Overs per Bowler. However, as mentioned above, by using the Amogha Card, any One Bowler can bowl One Additional Over beyond the overs-limit.
👉🏻 The umpires' decisions stand as the ultimate authority, ensuring fairness and integrity throughout the audition and league stages. Their verdicts are final at any stage of the competition, upholding the spirit of the game.
👉🏻The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations of the League and/or knockout matches to make the tournament more exciting. Please keep yourselves updated from our WhatsApp Channel from time to time.
